Hawaiian Hoku prides itself in its authentic Hawaiian cuisine, which tastes as good as it looks. When creating their design identity, I leveraged the roots of their culture to create a sandy cream and seaweed green branding with vibrant undertones. "Hoku" is Hawaiian for star, so a star-shaped palm tree illustration was integrated into the typographic logo as well as used as the primary branding element icon.
Inspiration Moodboard. I focused on implementing a visual language which was built on the values: authenticity, comfort, floral vibrancy, and soothing experiences. Drinks on the beach and food as pretty as the hibiscus flower; Hawaiian Hoku needed a design identity to reflect what they repped.
